French Institute:
Our company expertly undertook the structural renovation of the French Institute building, a
Grade II A heritage structure celebrated for its classic French architecture. The project
involved the complex task of restoring the structural integrity of the iconic Madras terrace
roof, which featured double ceiling heights. We meticulously replaced the existing beams
and rafters with traditional wooden materials, ensuring long-term durability and preservation
of the building's architectural heritage. Our skilled team demonstrated exceptional expertise
in heritage building restoration, successfully revitalizing the structure while maintaining its
historical authenticity.
Kariappa House:
Our company expertly handled the restoration and expansion of this boutique hotel, where a
major portion of the building was newly constructed. We ensured that the new construction
seamlessly blended with the existing structure by using the same high-quality natural
materials, including handcrafted wooden beams, lime plasters, and oxide flooring. The
project also involved recreating traditional Madras terrace roofs, along with Mangalore and
country tiled roofs, to maintain architectural authenticity. Additionally, we installed natural
stone flooring, handmade tiles, and custom wooden railings, all meticulously crafted to
match the original design. This project highlights our expertise in combining heritage
preservation with sustainable, high-quality construction, earning widespread acclaim for its
architectural excellence.
Sol Fitness:
Our company played a key role in designing India’s first all-inclusive active fitness resort,
spanning 8 acres of beautifully landscaped terrain. We focused on creating natural pathways
and lush green spaces that seamlessly blend with the resort's fitness-oriented environment.
Our expertise in landscape design transformed the resort into a serene, inviting oasis,
perfect for guests seeking both activity and relaxation. Additionally, we undertook the
meticulous repair of the resort's pool, enhancing its appeal and functionality. This project
showcases our ability to elevate large-scale properties through thoughtful and sustainable
landscaping.
Lamer:
Meticulously designed and restored by our expert team, Résidence de l’Evêché stands as a
timeless testament to colonial elegance and heritage. Located in the heart of Pondicherry’s
French Quarter, this historic villa, dating back to the 1790s, once served as the Archbishop's
residence. Our restoration work involved the careful use of natural materials, including
traditional lime plaster, wood, and stone, to preserve the building's authenticity. We
constructed a new balcony that enhances the building’s beauty and provides functional sit-
outs for the bedrooms. In the courtyard, we creatively reused an existing bougainvillea plant
and added a trellis to craft a cozy sit-out space, blending nature and architecture
harmoniously. Our skilled execution team added immense value by combining modern
techniques with the villa’s heritage, ensuring structural strengthening and long-term stability.
Now managed by the CGH Earth Group, Résidence de l’Evêché remains a shining example
of heritage conservation.
